To get started with configuring the Outlook Client in Dynamics 365, open the Configuration Wizard. If your CRM is part of the CRM Online system, select the drop down to select the CRM Online option. If you have a hosted or on prem CRM system, enter the url you use to connect to your CRM in the Server URL section. You should have gotten this URL during the set-up wizard.
Tip! Using Outlook? Most companies can save money on Dynamics 365 and/or Office 365 licenses when enrolling in PowerObjects’ no-cost CSP program. Learn how much you could be saving here.
If you are prompted for a password, enter the password.
If your account is set up in more than one CRM Organization, at this point you will need to select your synchronizing org, and the display name you would like it to have in your Outlook.
This will then complete the connection to the CRM system and allow you to take full advantage of the Outlook CRM sync.
Once the progress bar reaches completion, your Outlook is configured with your CRM and can now be utilized to its full potential. Any errors you receive at this point will be covered in the following section about troubleshooting the CRM Outlook Client.
