Understanding Where to Access Dynamics 365 Administrative Settings
The Settings Module is located through the navigation bar. There are five different subsections to the Settings Module:
Let’s examine each of them more closely:
Includes Business Management, Templates, Product Catalog, and Service Management sections.
Many of the settings in this section relate to how the business functions, such as managing currencies or fiscal years.
Any template existing in Dynamics 365, such as Email or Document templates, exists in this section.
This section is used to manage the Products within the system.
This section features more specific settings applicable to the customer service areas of an organization:
- Case Settings with Record Creation and Update Rules
- Service Terms
- Knowledge Base Management
- Service Scheduling
Includes the Customization, Solutions, Dynamic Marketplace, and Plug-In Trace Log sections.
The Dynamics Marketplace has been replaced with AppSource, which allows you to find the right apps for your business needs and extend the functionality of Dynamics 365.
Plug-In Trace Log
